gravedigger

I’ve been asked to find and prepare a suitable spot to inter a man’s ashes.

The serviceberries are coming ripe, and I’m competing with robins and catbirds to get some. So far the birds are winning. I’m badly outnumbered.

  1. I too love Serviceberries. They are one of the common understory trees that occur in the wild here at the Prairie Garden Trust. The fruit is one of the best wild foods I have tasted. The trick is finding it before the birds do once it has turned ripe!
